This Privacy Policy explains how Foxgate Boat & RV Storage ("Foxgate," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit foxgateboatrvstorage.com (the "Site"), reserve or rent a storage unit, or contact us.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you reserve or rent a unit, move in online, or contact us, we collect information such as:

  • Your name, email address, phone number and mailing address
  • The unit you choose, your move-in date and details about your rental
  • Payment card information (card number, expiration date and security code), which is sent securely to our property management and payment processing providers to complete your reservation or rental. We do not store full card numbers on our website systems.
  • Anything else you choose to share when you call, email or text us

Information collected automatically

When you use the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the website that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. If you arrive by clicking one of our Google ads, we store that ad click's identifier in a first-party cookie for up to 90 days and connect it to any reservation you make, so we can tell whether an ad led to a rental.

How we use your information

  • To process reservations, move-ins, rentals and payments
  • To manage your account, gate access and rental agreement
  • To contact you by phone, email or text message about your reservation, move-in, account, payments and our facility
  • To answer your questions and provide customer service
  • To protect the Site and our customers, including preventing fraud, spam and automated abuse
  • To understand how the Site is used and to improve it
  • To measure which of our ads lead to reservations and rentals, and to show relevant ads, including to people who have visited the Site
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies, including:

  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the Site
  • Google Ads, to measure the results of our ads and to show our ads to people who have visited the Site
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), to measure the results of our ads and to show relevant ads on Meta's platforms
  • Cloudflare Turnstile, to protect our reservation and move-in forms from bots

These providers may collect information about your use of the Site and other websites over time, and may use it under their own privacy policies. When a reservation becomes a rental, we may report to Google Ads that the ad click resulted in a rental, using the click identifier described above rather than your name or contact details.

You can limit this in several ways:

We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out of targeted advertising.

The Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

Customer lists for advertising

We may share contact information we have collected, such as email addresses and phone numbers, with advertising platforms like Google and Meta, which match it in hashed (encoded) form to their own users. We do this to show relevant ads, to measure results, and to avoid showing ads to our current customers. The platforms use this information only to provide these services to us, and we obtain consent for this sharing where the law requires it. To opt out, contact us using the information below.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as described in this policy, including with:

  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as our property management and reservation software, payment processors, and website hosting, data storage, security, email and text messaging, analytics and advertising providers
  • Advertising partners, as described above
  • Legal and safety recipients, when required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Foxgate, our customers or others
  • A buyer or successor, if our business or facility is sold, merged or transferred
  • Anyone else, with your consent

How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as we need it to provide our services and for legitimate business purposes, such as maintaining rental and payment records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal, tax and accounting requirements.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections on the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

  • Marketing emails and texts: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or reply STOP to a text message. We may still contact you about your reservation, rental or account.
  • Access, correction and deletion: you may ask us to confirm whether we process your personal information, and to access, correct or delete it, subject to exceptions allowed by law (for example, records we must keep for an active rental or for tax purposes).
  • Targeted advertising: you may ask us to stop using your information for targeted advertising, including customer lists.

Depending on where you live, including in Texas, you may have additional rights under state privacy law. To make a request, contact us using the information below. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and will respond within the time required by law. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our response and asking us to reconsider.

Children's privacy

The Site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Other websites

The Site may link to other websites and services, such as maps and social media. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle your information.
